Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Canute Tesch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy NoMates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tesch might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bloody Pants Says Hello. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by NoMates.
Tesch tries to get back to half guard but can't.

NoMates looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Tesch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but NoMates wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tesch wants to control but NoMates postures up.
Tesch pushes NoMates away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, NoMates gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Tesch takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

No joy there for NoMates, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tesch wants to clinch up but NoMates keeps it at a distance.
NoMates avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tesch throws a sloppy head kick and NoMates moves out of range easily.
Tesch throws a right and a left that both miss.
NoMates moves forwards but Tesch connects with a nice, crisp jab.
NoMates slips a jab from Tesch.
Tesch just misses with a punch to the body.
NoMates tries to clinch but Tesch is having none of it.

Tesch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

NoMates is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tesch can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Tesch throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
NoMates walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

NoMates prevents Tesch from getting back to his feet.
NoMates seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
NoMates passes easily into side control. Nice work.

NoMates is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tesch knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
NoMates is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tesch will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Tesch connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between NoMates's hands.
