The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson tries for a takedown but Williams circles away easily

and Williams counters by clinching up.

Williams pulls guard successfully.

Williams has his foot on Ferguson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ferguson works his way back into a safe position though.
Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Williams knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ferguson on the ground.
Ferguson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Ferguson is pushing down on Williams's leg trying to pass to half guard. Williams is fighting to maintain full guard but Ferguson has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ferguson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ferguson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Ferguson is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ferguson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Williams has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Ferguson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Williams taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Ferguson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
