The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leanord is defended easily by Hardin.
Hardin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Leanord is trying to defend but Hardin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Still in half guard, Hardin seems content to control.
Leanord is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hardin content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hardin has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Leanord defend it? Hardin steps over the head and cranks it - Leanord is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Hardin!
