The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A cross from Power lands.
Scottie Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Power clobbers Joaquin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Joaquin shoots in looking for a takedown but Power manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Joaquin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Joaquin tries to clinch up but Power circles away and keeps his distance.
Power lands a jab-cross combination.
Joaquin doesn't manage to clinch there - Power circles away.
Power lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Power lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Power.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Joaquin steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Power. That one must have hurt.
Power scores with a nice head shot.
A left lands for Power.
Joaquin is rocked!
Joaquin dives in and grabs Power's left leg, looking for a takedown. Power pushes down on Joaquin's head and hops out.
Oh Joaquin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Power is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Joaquin hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Scottie Power!
A very excited looking Scottie Power made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
