Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mario Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Luthor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawk gets a takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are battling for position here. Luthor manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Luthor is controlling Hawk's posture.

Hawk wants to control from the top but Luthor keeps moving.

Luthor wants to sweep here but Hawk controlling him for the moment.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Luthor throws a hook to the side of Hawk's head but Hawk sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Hawk pushes Luthor up against the cage in a clinch.

Luthor tries to pull guard but Hawk won't allow it.

Hawk manages to break the clinch.
Luthor tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Hawk counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Luthor is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hawk is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Luthor has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Hawk is looking to defend but Luthor has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Hawk! Luthor pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Hawk taps out and this one is all over!
