Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thorin Odinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Lii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Odinson's entrance music is I will not bow (Breaking Benjamine). A fine choice. Lii has chosen Legend of the Ocean as his entrance music. Thorin Odinson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thorin Odinson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke Lii!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odinson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Odinson stuffs the takedown attempt from Lii. Lii gets slowly back to his feet.
Odinson tries to clinch up
and Lii counters with a nice kick to the body.
Odinson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Odinson lands a head shot.
Lii sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Odinson scores with a one two! Lii had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Odinson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Lii is able to avoid easily.

Odinson throws a head kick that Lii semi-blocks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lii takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

and Lii counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Odinson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Luke Lii showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lii has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Odinson uses from the top position.
Odinson postures up in Lii's guard and throws a big left but Lii blocks it.
Luke Lii has got the better of the ground game so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Odinson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lii escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Odinson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lii has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Odinson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lii.
Lii is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Odinson throwing strikes but Lii manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Lii tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lii has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lii goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Odinson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lii but great work by Odinson.

Lii is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Odinson off and has taken his back!

Lii has got one arm under Odinson's chin. This could be trouble... Odinson trying to control the other hand but Lii gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Odinson has tapped out! The fight is over!
