Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luis Antonio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ukko Metso!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metso rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Antonio moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Antonio shoots in for a double leg but Metso sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Antonio darts in and clinches Metso up against the cage.

Antonio has Metso pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Antonio pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Metso tumbling to the mat - Antonio dives into Metso's guard.
Metso is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Metso looking to hit a scissor sweep but Antonio is one step ahead there.
Antonio postures up and lands a big shot to Metso's brow.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Metso trying to control the position.
Metso keeping moving, preventing Antonio from controlling successfully.
Metso trying to keep a closed guard but Antonio is proving a slippery customer.
Antonio with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Metso moves out of range as Antonio strikes.
Metso misses with a takedown

and Antonio counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Antonio.
Metso is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Antonio stays in close to Metso's body and controls the position.
Metso can't keep his opponent in guard - Antonio advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Antonio is working for a submission of some sort.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Antonio prevents Metso from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Metso looking for submissions off his back.
Antonio stalling.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Metso tries to roll over but Antonio keeps him under control.
Metso regains full guard. Nicely done.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luis Antonio dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Antonio shoots in for a takedown but Metso shows good takedown defense.
Antonio misses with an attempted mid kick.
A combination from Metso does no damage.
Metso fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Antonio finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Metso will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Metso lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Antonio shoots in and drives through. Metso sprawls well.
Nice straight punches there by Metso. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Metso.
Antonio shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Metso as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Antonio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Metso's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Metso duly obliges.
Metso lands with an uppercut that bounces Antonio off the cage and back into rage.


Antonio is rocked!
Metso lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Antonio falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ukko Metso!
