Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valodia Smirnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valodia Smirnov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smirnov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Richards pinned against the cage. Richards gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Smirnov moves into range and clinches up with Richards.

Smirnov has hold of Richards's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Richards manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smirnov is looking to take a break and control but Richards is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Richards shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Richards closes the distance and clinches up with Smirnov, looking for a takedown. Richards pushes Smirnov against the cage but Smirnov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Smirnov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Richards sprawls well. Richards wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smirnov gets slowly back to his feet.
