Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benny Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thai Tanic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thai Tanic struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Thai Tanic will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caine looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Caine could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Tanic gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tanic effectively controlling the action here.

Caine turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Tanic is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Caine off and has taken his back!
Tanic has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Caine's body.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Thai Tanic hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Tanic feints and then cracks Caine's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Caine down.
Thai Tanic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tanic shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
