The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hawk scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Henderson is trying to improve his position.

Hawk with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Hawk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hawk is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Henderson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Henderson!

Hawk changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Henderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hawk is looking to stand but Hawk has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

Hawk goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Henderson turns into him and now he's in Hawk's guard.

Hawk shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Henderson as he avoids it easily.
Hawk throws a series of punches but Henderson avoids them all with ease.
No luck for Hawk with that takedown attempt.
Henderson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Henderson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Henderson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hawk to the ground. Henderson is now in Hawk's guard.

Mario Hawk overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Henderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hawk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Benson Henderson.
Henderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hawk pinned against the cage. Hawk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hawk has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Henderson uses from the top position.

Benson Henderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Hawk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
