PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seem Less (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Less comes to the cage accompanied by Song 2 - Blur. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryan has managed to clinch.
Ryan lands with a right to the head.

Ryan has Less pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ryan pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Less tumbling to the mat - Ryan dives into Less's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Less escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ryan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ryan drops back looking for a leg! Less is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Less manages to kick Ryan off! Ryan jumps back into Less's guard.

Ryan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Less looking for a guillotine here but Ryan defends easily.
Ryan wants to pass the guard but Less is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Less has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ryan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ryan advances position into side control!

Ryan tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ryan has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Less is trying to improve his position.

Ryan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Less has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ryan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ryan is working to tighten is grip on Less's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Less has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Ryan is really squeezing tight and eventually Less passes out! Ryan breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

After winning the bout, Jack Ryan thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
