The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pitney gets in close and instigates a clinch.
BloodWing lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pitney backwards.
BloodWing pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Pitney wants to break free but BloodWing has control.

BloodWing breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pitney lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pitney.
Pitney avoids a punch combination nicely.
BloodWing throws a head kick but Pitney moves out of range.

Pitney tries to keep at a distance but BloodWing has taken the fight into the clinch.
Pitney stalling against the cage.
BloodWing wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pitney has him pressed against the cage.

BloodWing escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pitney throws a right and a left that both miss.

BloodWing decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

BloodWing is looking to advance position but Pitney won't allow it.
BloodWing working over Pitney with some ground and pound. Pitney looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pitney is trying to get back to full guard.

BloodWing sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pitney defending well though.
BloodWing trying to mount his opponent but Pitney defends it.
BloodWing trying to advance position but Pitney counters by regaining guard.

BloodWing lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Pitney throws an elbow that misses.
Pitney drops down looking for an ankle pick but BloodWing pulls his leg out and moves away.

Pitney moves into the clinch.
BloodWing lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Pitney wants a takedown but no success here.

BloodWing breaks from the clinch.
Pitney walks into a stiff left hand from BloodWing.

Pitney is rocked!
BloodWing scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Pitney looks winded!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pitney blocks a head kick by BloodWing.
BloodWing lands with a right and another and another! Pitney is in big trouble! BloodWing lands again and this time it's lights out for Pitney! A quality knockout there for BloodWing.
