Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shamir Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Cardinal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardinal tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kahn paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Cardinal counters by clinching up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Cardinal gets the takedown into side control.
Cardinal has hold of Kahn's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kahn seems comfortable defending it but Cardinal has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kahn is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kahn is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cardinal couldn't care less - he's delighted!
