The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vargas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parker somewhat.
A chopping leg kick lands by Vargas.
Parker tries for a takedown but Vargas circles away easily
and Vargas counters with an inside leg kick.
Vargas scores with a shot to the body.
Parker dives in and grabs Vargas's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vargas pushes down on Parker's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendall Parker. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Parker takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Nice takedown defense from Vargas. No joy for Parker on that attempt.
Parker shoots in but Vargas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vargas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vargas wants it to stay on the feet.

Vargas fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Parker.
Vargas fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A jab from Vargas finds it's way through Parker's defenses.
Vargas's corner calls for a 1-2. Vargas obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Parker is rocked!
That kick from Vargas tenderised Parker's leg. Parker is trying to keep his angry face on.
Oh Parker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Parker is breathing heavily.
Parker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vargas sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Parker doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Vargas counters with a crisp right that sends Parker to the canvas! Vargas follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
