Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luimunaama Lare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ernst Kaltenbrunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lare comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Hell's Bells. The crowd seem to be enjoying Kaltenbrunner's choice of entrance music: Russlandlied. Luimunaama Lare has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Luimunaama Lare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernst Kaltenbrunner!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaltenbrunner shoots in looking for a takedown. Lare tries to sprawl out of it but Kaltenbrunner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lare manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Lare looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lare looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Lare is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kaltenbrunner defends it well.
Lare thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lare is tying to control. Kaltenbrunner wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lare blocks the strikes from Kaltenbrunner.

Lare seems to be working for a kimura but Kaltenbrunner defends the submission attempt.

Lare wants to work for an arm triangle but Kaltenbrunner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kaltenbrunner tries to get to full guard but Lare has control of the leg.
Kaltenbrunner flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lare smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Kaltenbrunner drives through with a takedown into guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Kaltenbrunner postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Lare working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kaltenbrunner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kaltenbrunner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Lare is breathing heavily.
Kaltenbrunner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Kaltenbrunner must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lare is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Lare has his foot on Kaltenbrunner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kaltenbrunner works his way back into a safe position though.

Lare tries to lock up and control but Kaltenbrunner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Lare regains half guard.
Kaltenbrunner looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lare wants to improve his position but Kaltenbrunner is controlling well.

Lare wants to get back to full guard.
Kaltenbrunner wants to take a breather but Lare is having none of it.
Kaltenbrunner takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Lare is trying to control but can't.
Kaltenbrunner works his way into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lare takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Lare struggling a bit here.
Kaltenbrunner tries to advance to mount but can't.
Kaltenbrunner creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Lare tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kaltenbrunner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kaltenbrunner trying to control the action but Lare is working from the bottom.
Lare tries to improve position but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lare punishes Kaltenbrunner's body with a nice straight punch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Lare tries for a kimura but Kaltenbrunner is defending well.
Kaltenbrunner throws an elbow that doesn't really do any damage.

Lare tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lare has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lare wants to control but Kaltenbrunner is keeping him busy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kaltenbrunner is trying to improve his position.
Kaltenbrunner is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luimunaama Lare dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lare's corner calls for a 1-2. Lare obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kaltenbrunner takes a swing at Lare's ribcage but misses.

Kaltenbrunner is still on wobbly legs! Can Lare finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lare stuns Kaltenbrunner with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Lare is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Kaltenbrunner hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
