The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garth fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Garth shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nice takedown defense from Garth. No joy for Rodrigo on that attempt.
Rodrigo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garth.
Jose Rodrigo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Garth.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rodrigo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Garth manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rodrigo manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rodrigo wants to stand up but Garth is controlling him.

Rodrigo is pulling down on Garth's head. It's preventing any offense from Garth, at least for the moment.
Garth is looking to stand up but Rodrigo won't let him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Garth shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rodrigo as he avoids it easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rodrigo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Garth keeps working.

Rodrigo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Garth is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rodrigo scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rodrigo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Garth is rocked!
Rodrigo lands a big elbow - Garth is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Rodrigo!
