PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Forzado Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adamh Pearse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into the arena with Hard way by Scott Stapp blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pearse shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sanchez as he jumps to the side.

Pearse should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sanchez moves out of range as Pearse strikes.
Pearse tries to clinch up.
Pearse looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sanchez avoids the head kick by Pearse.
Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Pearse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanchez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sanchez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sanchez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pearse is in all sorts of trouble here.

Sanchez gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

It looks like Forzado Sanchez has been cut.

Pearse shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanchez but Sanchez pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pearse is looking for a sweep. Sanchez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Pearse is refusing to be controlled, as Sanchez sits in half guard.
Pearse is doing well to control the position and prevent Sanchez from advancing to side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pearse wants to get up but he can't break Sanchez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sanchez wants to sweep but no luck.
Pearse trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanchez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sanchez is pulling down on Pearse's head. It's preventing any offense from Pearse, at least for the moment.

Pearse looks for a takedown but Sanchez sprawls well.

Pearse shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanchez but Sanchez pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Adamh Pearse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Forzado Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adamh Pearse.

Sanchez tries to pull guard but Pearse holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanchez drops back down to his feet.

Pearse cracks the inside of Sanchez's front leg.
Nice takedown defense from Sanchez. No joy for Pearse on that attempt.

Pearse darts in and clinches Sanchez up against the cage.
Sanchez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pearse pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sanchez stands and steps away. Pearse gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Pearse regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sanchez wants to control from the top but Pearse keeps moving.
Pearse is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Sanchez is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Sanchez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pearse keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully.

Forzado Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round.
