The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cpw fails to land with a series of punches.
Pineda misses with a wild body shot.
Cpw scores with a nice right hand.
Pineda throws an overhand right that lands on Cpw's shoulder, as Cpw tries to avoid the shot.
Cpw uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pineda.
A big right from Cpw misses.
Pineda looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
The fighters circling - Pineda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A left lands for Pineda.
Cpw doesn't manage to clinch there - Pineda circles away.

Handsome Cpw seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cpw misses with a hook. Pineda ducked under it nicely.
Cpw bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Pineda's head backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cpw is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pineda.

Pineda loads up on a big right hand but Cpw slips the punch.
Cpw thuds his right hand into Pineda's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Pineda paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Cpw tries to clinch but Pineda moves out of range.

Cpw has Pineda pressed against the cage, preventing Pineda from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Pineda shoots in for a takedown but Cpw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Cpw lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Pineda is rocked!
Cpw throws an uppercut from hell that sends Pineda clean off his feet! He's out cold! Cpw stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
