Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Artist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Notkea rotta - Itä meidän. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Sub Artist!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Artist misses with a right hand

and Bob counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bob.
Bob throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Artist works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bob is looking to work some ground and pound but Artist has wrist control.
Artist really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bob. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bob won't allow Artist to sweep him here.
Artist working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bob.
Bob distracts Artist with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.


It looks like Sub Artist has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bob drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bob jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bob is looking to work some ground and pound but Artist has wrist control.
Bob stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Artist swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bob throws a big right hand that misses.

Bob postures up in Artist's guard and throws a big left but Artist blocks it.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bob's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Artist looking for a sweep. Not yet Artist, not yet.

Artist utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bob is looking to work some ground and pound but Artist has wrist control.
Bob loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Artist is looking to stand up but Bob isn't so interested in that idea.
Artist tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bob in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bob with a flurry of punches that miss.
Artist utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bob accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Artist wants to get back to his feet but Bob is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Bob with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bob pushing down on Artist's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Bob wants to lay and pray for a moment but Artist keeps working.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bob looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Bob is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bob with the ground and pound but Artist uses the opportunity to regain guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bob is looking to work some ground and pound but Artist has wrist control.
Bob wants to control from the top but Artist keeps moving.

Bob drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bob jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Artist has momentary wrist control but Bob slips an elbow through the middle.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Artist is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Bob drops back looking for a leg! Artist is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Artist manages to kick Bob off! Bob jumps back into Artist's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Bob dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sub Artist's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Artist swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bob.
Sub Artist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Artist wants to clinch.
Artist misses with a double jab
and Bob counters with a two punch combo.
Artist wants to slow Bob down by chopping away at his legs.
Artist throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Artist misses with a straight right.
Artist doesn't manage to clinch there - Bob circles away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Artist getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Artist fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bob, pushing him back against the cage.
Artist lands a body punch in the clinch.
Bob goes for a takedown attempt but Artist pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Artist cracks Bob with a right hand to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Artist scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Artist fails with an attempt to clinch.
Artist ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A big left from Artist misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Artist throws a front kick aimed at Bob's knee but Bob avoids it well.
Bob takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Artist's corner calls for a 1-2. Artist obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Artist throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bob.
Bob keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Artist.
Bob walks into a jab.


Bob is rocked!
Billy Bob is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Artist lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Bob falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sub Artist!
