Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Barnett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Troy Tungston!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barnett darts in and clinches Tungston up against the cage.
Barnett goes for a takedown in the clinch but Tungston prevents it.
Tungston misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Barnett.
Barnett wants a takedown but no success here.
Tungston trying to land knees to the body.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Barnett.
Tungston is trying to maintain a safe position but Barnett gets an underhook and turns Tungston into the cage.
Barnett on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Tungston misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Barnett.

Barnett ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Barnett no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Barnett tries to strike from the bottom.
Tungston throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tungston stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barnett swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Tungston slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Barnett bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Barnett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Barnett decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Barnett circles away from the clinch attempt.
Tungston tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barnett paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tungston throws a head kick that misses.
Barnett shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Barnett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Barnett or perhaps it was just good defense by Tungston which made him look bad.

Tungston tries to sprawl but Barnett drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Barnett prevents Tungston from improving his position.
Tungston really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Barnett. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Barnett slips a nice elbow through Tungston's hands, connecting with Tungston's forehead.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnett not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Barnett has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Tungston gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Barnett escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Troy Tungston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A left and a right from Barnett both land. Nice combination.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tungston enables Barnett to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tungston manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tungston is trying to hold Barnett in close to prevent damage but Barnett has managed to pass into half guard.
Barnett winds up and cracks Tungston with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Barnett drops an elbow to the side of Tungston's head.

Barnett stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Tungston to get to his feet.
Barnett will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tungston slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Josh Barnett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barnett instigates a clinch.
Tungston has a couple of punches blocked by Barnett.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Barnett gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Tungston regains guard.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Barnett looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Barnett jumps guard but Tungston turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Barnett tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Tungston smiles and moves away.
Josh Barnett is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Barnett gets a clinch.
Tungston throws an elbow but it misses.
Nice elbow from Tungston.

Tungston breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Barnett scores with a takedown into Tungston's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Barnett's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Tungston wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Barnett is now in half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Barnett is looking for a kimura but Tungston is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Barnett to get the leverage.
Tungston is trying to get back to full guard.
Barnett tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tungston knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Barnett is working hard here to advance position.
Barnett scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Tungston trying to control but Barnett postures up.
Barnett frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Tungston is looking to improve his position but Barnett isn't that keen on the idea.

Barnett looking to secure an arm triangle but Tungston defends it well.
Tungston tries to hold on but Barnett postures up.
Tungston is just holding on here. Barnett manages to take his back.
Tungston manages to reverse the position and now he's in Barnett's guard. Nice work there by Tungston.
Tungston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Tungston wants to control from the top but Barnett keeps moving.

Barnett looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barnett keeping moving, preventing Tungston from controlling successfully.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Barnett holds on and takes a little breather.
Barnett lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tungston!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tungston lands a good knee to the midsection. Barnett won't want to take too many of those.
Barnett tries to pull guard but Tungston holds him up against the cage and eventually Barnett drops back down to his feet.

Barnett keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tungston's efforts to push away.
Barnett blocks an uppercut.
Barnett wants a takedown.
Tungston misses with a body punch.
Barnett tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tungston just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Barnett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tungston lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tungston lands a big head kick that sends Barnett tumbling to the mat! Tungston takes a step backwards and waves Barnett back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Josh Barnett has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tungston clinches up against the cage.
Oh Barnett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tungston using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Barnett is pressed against the cage. Tungston pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Barnett! Two more big strikes from Tungston and Barnett crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Troy Tungston!
Troy Tungston bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
