Thunders comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't That A Kick In The Head by Dean Martin. Adamek has chosen I Am The Sword - Motorhead as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunders looks to throw the jab but Adamek is out of range.
Thunders stuffs the takedown.
Thunders misses with a left hand

and Adamek counters by moving into the clinch.
Adamek is trying to pull guard but Thunders turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Thunders is trying to force a seperation but Adamek has the dominant position.
Thunders wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Thunders wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Adamek has him pressed against the cage.
Thunders wants to break free but Adamek has control.
Adamek tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Thunders just stands there and leans against the cage.

Adamek wants to control from the top but Thunders keeps moving.

Thunders is looking to stand up but Adamek isn't so interested in that idea.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tomasz Adamek wasn't active enough on the ground.
Adamek moves away from the strike by Thunders.
Adamek will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Thunders throws out a loose jab but Adamek uses good head movement to avoid it.

Thunders keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Johnny Thunders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adamek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thunders pinned against the cage. Thunders gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Adamek has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Thunders.
Adamek looks winded!

Thunders throws a shot from downtown. Adamek moves away and avoids it.
Thunders shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Thunders lands with a hook. Adamek tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Tomasz Adamek has been cut.
Adamek shoots for a double leg takedown but Thunders sprawls well. He's pushed Adamek's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Johnny Thunders is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Adamek closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Thunders's guard.
Adamek trying to control but Thunders is working from the bottom.
Thunders avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Adamek forces his way into half guard.
Still in half guard, Adamek seems content to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Johnny Thunders will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tomasz Adamek's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Oooooh!!! Thunders has knocked Adamek down with a huge combo! Thunders steps away and waves a wobbly Adamek back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Adamek switches off momentarily and Thunders cracks him with a monster right hand! Adamek topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Thunders dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Thunders!
