Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ben Bitag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaddie Sedfenor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sedfenor has chosen graveyard symphony as his entrance music. Jaddie Sedfenor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Bitag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jaddie Sedfenor!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bitag keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sedfenor fails with a takedown attempt.
Bitag forces Sedfenor back against the cage and clinches.
Sedfenor fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Ben Bitag has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaddie Sedfenor.
Bitag drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sedfenor won't allow Bitag to sweep him here.
Sedfenor stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bitag swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bitag pulls Sedfenor in close to his closed guard and prevents Sedfenor from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ben Bitag wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bitag shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bitag showed some decent athleticism there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bitag is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bitag is keen to just control but Sedfenor is a slippery customer.
Sedfenor looking for submissions off his back.
Bitag content to control rather than advance.
Bitag winds up and cracks Sedfenor with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sedfenor wants to control but Bitag passes into side.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bitag controls the position.
Bitag working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Sedfenor taking a bit of punishment here - Bitag scoring with strikes.
Sedfenor tries to bench press Bitag off him but Bitag keeps the position.
Bitag wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sedfenor keeps working.
Bitag tries to advance to mount but can't.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bitag is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sedfenor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sedfenor sneaks back into half guard.
Sedfenor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bitag pulls his head out easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sedfenor trying to control but Bitag postures up.
Bitag trying to control from half guard but Sedfenor is working away.
Bitag is nestled in close to Sedfenor, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sedfenor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Ground and pound from Bitag.
Bitag working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bitag uses his free foot to push down on Sedfenor's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sedfenor.
Bitag is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Sedfenor to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Sedfenor shrugs it off.
Bitag is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Sedfenor is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Sedfenor flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bitag anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Sedfenor and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bitag slips an arm under Sedfenor chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bitag has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bitag is squeezing on Sedfenor like an anaconda would it's prey. Sedfenor fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ben Bitag!
Ben Bitag bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
