Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between El Luan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gervaso Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Luan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gervaso Ferreira's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, El Luan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Gervaso Ferreira!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Ferreira or perhaps it was just good defense by Luan which made him look bad.
Luan tries to clinch but Ferreira moves out of range.
Ferreira tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Ferreira throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Luan's waist but Luan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferreira off to one side.
Ferreira shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Luan defends it nicely.
El Luan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gervaso Ferreira.
Luan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Luan rushes Ferreira and presses him up against the cage.
Luan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ferreira pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Luan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Luan rushes Ferreira and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Luan lands a nice knee to the body.
Luan lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

Ferreira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ferreira tries to free his leg and advance position but Luan is retaining full guard.

Luan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Luan wants to get back to his feet but Ferreira is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Ferreira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Luan's guard.
Luan wants to get back to full guard.
Luan looks like he's trying to stand up.

Ferreira is looking for a kimura here.
Luan tries to kick Ferreira off but Ferreira keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Ferreira wants to work for an arm triangle but Luan is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ferreira is working for a kimura but Luan is defending it quite comfortably.

Luan wants to get back to his feet.
Ferreira works his foot free and advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luan really wants to buck Ferreira off and get back to his feet.

Ferreira looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Ferreira working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Luan turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Ferreira off and cradles Luan's limp body as Ferreira celebrates with his corner.
