The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodriguez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Croswell!

Croswell is pushing Rodriguez's head away, looking to escape. Rodriguez manages to hold on to the position though.

Rodriguez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Croswell to his feet.
Croswell throws a sloppy head kick and Rodriguez moves out of range easily.
Croswell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rodriguez throws a series of punches but Croswell moves out of range.
Croswell scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Croswell takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Croswell displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rodriguez.
Croswell connects with a body shot that sends Rodriguez's belly button to the back.
Croswell connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Croswell lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Manuel Rodriguez has been cut.
Croswell throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rodriguez throws a push kick but Croswell slaps the foot to one side.
Rodriguez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Rodriguez is rocked!

Rodriguez checks the leg kick nicely there.
Rodriguez is still on wobbly legs! Can Croswell finish him?
Croswell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Rodriguez looks winded!
Croswell lands with a big right hook that stumbles Rodriguez - he's out on his feet here! Croswell follows up with another monster hook that separates Rodriguez from consciousness! Rodriguez falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Croswell stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.

A very excited looking Matthew Croswell rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
