The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velt is trying hard to land a takedown here. Payne sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Velt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Velt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Payne as he jumps to the side.
Billy Payne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sebaist Velt.
Payne shoots in looking for a takedown. Velt tries to sprawl out of it but Payne keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Velt manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Velt has closed the distance and engaged Payne in a clinch.

Payne has Velt pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Payne pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Velt tumbling to the mat - Payne dives into Velt's guard.

Velt looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Payne drops back looking for a leg! Velt is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Velt manages to kick Payne off! Payne jumps back into Velt's guard.

Payne drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Payne as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Velt screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Payne! Nice submission victory there!
