Cooper comes to the cage accompanied by Cult Of Personality - Living Colour. Speed has chosen The Ramones / Blitzkrieg Bop as his entrance music. Nathan Speed has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Speed.
Cooper has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Speed.
A punch combination from Speed misses.
Speed slips under a jab from Cooper.
A big left from Cooper misses.
Speed loads up on a big right hand but Cooper slips the punch.
Speed throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Cooper takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Speed checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Cooper keeps the fight on the outside.

Speed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Speed throws a leg kick but Cooper sees it coming and moves out of range.
Speed checks the leg kick.
Cooper scores with a shot to the body.
Cooper defending well as Speed loads up on a big left hand.
Cooper throws a shot from downtown. Speed moves away and avoids it.

Cooper throws a hook to the side of Speed's head but Speed sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Cooper tests Speed's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Nathan Speed is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Speed counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Cooper throws a jab when Speed was well out of range.
Cooper on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cooper takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Speed.
Derek B. Cooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Speed connects with a solid leg kick.
Speed tries a head kick but it misses.
Cooper lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Speed circles away quickly and effectively.
Speed lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cooper's sensitive parts.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Speed ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooper moves away.

Speed pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cooper scores with a jab to the jaw.
Speed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Cooper takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cooper misses with a hook
and Speed counters with a nice uppercut.
Cooper on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Speed. Speed obviously looking to wear him down.
Speed misses with a looping left.
Cooper's jab looks to have found its range, popping Speed under the eye.
Speed misses with a low kick as Cooper jumps back.
Cooper throws an overhand right that lands on Speed's shoulder, as Speed tries to avoid the shot.

Speed closes the distance and pushes Cooper back into the cage.
Cooper is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Speed tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cooper's elbow.
Speed blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Speed is leaning against Cooper and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Speed scores with a shoulder strike.
Cooper stalling in the clinch but Speed improves position.
Speed pushes Cooper back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Speed manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Speed gets through Cooper's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Speed lands with a left to the head.
Nice body punch from Cooper - that landed with a thud.
Cooper throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Speed lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Speed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cooper blocks an uppercut.
Cooper struggles to land a body shot inside as Speed controls his hands.
Speed lands a left hand.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Speed.
Cooper misses with a punch on the inside.
Speed digs a right hand into Cooper's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Cooper's gas tank.
Cooper is breathing heavily.
Cooper swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Speed scores with a shoulder strike.
Cooper takes a shot to the head.
Speed lands with a right to the head.

Speed unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Cooper! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Speed is unloading with more strikes now! Cooper drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
