Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Stolen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Stolen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Davis!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis fails to land the takedown.
Stolen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Stolen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Davis has closed the distance and engaged Stolen in a clinch.

Davis pulls guard successfully.
Stolen throws an elbow that misses. Davis uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stolen's guard. Nice move by Davis!
Davis passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Davis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stolen keeps working.
Stolen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Davis misses with the ground and pound.

Davis wants to stand but Stolen has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
Davis wants to pass the guard but Stolen is keeping the position.
Davis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis trying to control but Stolen is working from the bottom.

Stolen pushes Davis off and gets back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Davis feints and then cracks Stolen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stolen down.
Davis tries to clinch up.
Davis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stolen.
Stolen swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Davis counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Stolen keeps the fight on the outside.
Davis throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Stolen.
Sloppy strikes from Davis. Those never looked like landing.
Davis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stolen.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis scores with a kick to the body.
Davis fails with a takedown attempt.
Ryan Stolen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Davis.
Davis plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Davis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stolen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Davis is looking to clinch but Stolen is avoiding it.
Stolen misses with a hook. Davis ducked under it nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis.
Stolen works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Stolen shoots in and bounces Davis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Stolen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Davis dives on top into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stolen looking for a sweep. Not yet Stolen, not yet.
Davis throws an elbow that misses. Stolen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davis's guard. Nice move by Stolen!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Davis trying to strike off his back.
Stolen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Davis dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Davis misses with a body kick.
Davis throws a nice head kick!
Stolen takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Davis lands with a right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Davis looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Davis with a nice cross.
Stolen takes one to the chin there.
A slapping leg kick lands for Davis.
Nice sprawl there from Davis as Stolen shoots in.

Davis scores with a leg kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Stolen.
Davis shoots in looking for a takedown but Stolen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Davis's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Stolen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Davis connects with a single shot there.
Davis throws a quick inside leg kick.
Davis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Stolen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Davis moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Davis.
Davis buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Davis takes the fight into the clinch.

Davis jumps into guard, dragging Stolen to the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stolen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Stolen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stolen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Stolen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Stolen distracts Davis with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Stolen is in close to Davis's body, working some short punches and elbows.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Davis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Davis can't keep his opponent in guard - Stolen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Stolen controlling the pace.
Davis wants to stand back up but Stolen manages to pass into side control.
Stolen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Stolen tries for a kimura but Davis is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Davis is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Stolen is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Davis looks calm but he's in trouble here. Stolen gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Davis is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Stolen lets go of the hold and Davis can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ryan Stolen!
