The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Dean Styles and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maddox throws a hook but Mullen avoids it easily.
Mullen throws a low kick but Maddox avoids it.
Mullen misses with a hook.
Maddox thows a body shot but no joy.
Chris Mullen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters circling - Mullen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Mullen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maddox moves away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Maddox. Mullen does a little dance to reset his feet.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mullen lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maddox has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maddox and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Mullen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Maddox.

Maddox wants to slow Mullen down by chopping away at his legs.
Mullen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Maddox. That did some damage!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mullen connects with a solid leg kick.
Maddox chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mullen can pounce on him.
Mullen moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Maddox is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Mullen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mullen is looking to slow Maddox down with leg kicks.
Mullen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Maddox sprawling to the canvas! Maddox rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mullen finish him?!

Mullen thuds his shin into the meat of Maddox's side.
Mullen cracks a nice hook into Maddox's ribs.
Maddox walks straight into a right hand from Mullen - that's dropped him! Mullen jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Maddox from any more punishment! Maddox complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chris Mullen!
Chris Mullen really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Firebird Designs logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
