PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Mytsyno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mytsyno might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rev Theory - Voices. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ed Mytsyno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charles Bradshaw!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mytsyno fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bradshaw on the side of the head.
Bradshaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Mytsyno.
Bradshaw moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Bradshaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bradshaw looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Bradshaw drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bradshaw looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mytsyno with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mytsyno is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Bradshaw pulls his head out easily.

Mytsyno working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bradshaw doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bradshaw manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mytsyno had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bradshaw is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Mytsyno Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bradshaw's back instead.

Mytsyno has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bradshaw has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bradshaw is working Mytsyno over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Bradshaw dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Bradshaw feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mytsyno escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bradshaw gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bradshaw is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Mytsyno gets his way!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Mytsyno is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bradshaw is surviving well by controlling Mytsyno's body position as best he can.

Mytsyno jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bradshaw is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bradshaw and Mytsyno has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

I've got Bradshaw winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
