Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Guervo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thurgood Jenkins told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guervo shoots for a double leg takedown but Jenkins sprawls well. He's pushed Guervo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jenkins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jenkins showed some decent athleticism there.
Jenkins is keen to just control but Guervo is a slippery customer.
Guervo tries to roll over but Jenkins keeps him under control.

Guervo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenkins can do anything to dispel that myth.
