PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kahlua Zordick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rollins comes to the cage accompanied by Future World Music - Dream Catchers. On his way into the cage it seems that Hunter Rollins has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hunter Rollins seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kahlua Zordick!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Zordick on the side of the head.
Zordick uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rollins.
Zordick throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Zordick scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rollins jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Zordick takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rollins swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rollins moves out of range of the strikes.
Rollins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Zordick closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zordick feints and then cracks Rollins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rollins down.
Zordick tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Rollins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Zordick thumps Rollins with a low kick.

Zordick cracks Rollins with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Zordick has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Rollins clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Rollins wants to escape the position.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rollins wants to control from the top but Zordick keeps moving.

Zordick pulls Rollins in close to prevent any damage.
Zordick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rollins is one step ahead there.

Zordick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rollins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rollins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Zordick is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rollins's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Zordick manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Zordick is looking for a sweep. Rollins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zordick has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rollins is working away from the top position though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rollins connects with a nice short shot to Zordick's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Kahlua Zordick will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Zordick is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kahlua Zordick has got the better of the ground game so far.

Zordick is trying to get an arm triangle but Rollins is defending well.

Zordick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rollins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zordick swings around for an armbar but Rollins sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Zordick's guard.

Zordick has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rollins can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Rollins wants to advance to full mount but Zordick doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

Zordick is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rollins is aware though and is defending well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zordick is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rollins defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kahlua Zordick showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Zordick stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rollins.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zordick looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Rollins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Rollins throws a lazy right hand but Zordick sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Rollins clinches.
Zordick is trying to pull guard but Rollins turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Rollins is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Zordick is defending well for now.
Zordick is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Zordick stalls.

Rollins trying to control the position from guard on top but Zordick is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Zordick isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rollins stacks Zordick on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rollins!
Hunter Rollins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Zordick takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rollins taking a break here but Zordick is having none of it and regains half guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rollins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Zordick looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Rollins is defending well. Zordick quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rollins has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Zordick celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Post fight, Kahlua Zordick stared into the camera and said 'First of all, want to thank all the fans who have revived my burning desire to fight once more. I thought I would be celebrating already my retirement party. But guess what, I will celebrate my comeback win after a long layoff. Thank you everyone!'.
