Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sticky Ickky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sticky Ickky has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jon Jackson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sticky Ickky!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ickky.
Jackson wants to get back to his feet.
Ickky in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Jackson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Ickky asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ickky is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Jackson throws Ickky to one side and escapes!

Ickky pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ickky throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jackson was covering up waiting for the punch and Ickky finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jackson pushes Ickky off and gets back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ickky is defended easily by Jackson.
Jackson takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Jon Jackson has been cut.

Ickky closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ickky misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jackson.
Ickky tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Jackson avoids it.
Ickky tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jon Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sticky Ickky.
Ickky looks winded!
Ickky has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jackson after a bit of a struggle.
Ickky looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jackson goes for a takedown attempt but Ickky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jackson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ickky tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jackson stuffs the takedown.
Ickky fails in his attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ickky.
Ickky shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Ickky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ickky was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jackson's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Jackson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Ickky looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Ickky persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ickky tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ickky to the ground. Ickky escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jackson.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson throws a looping overhand right but Ickky ducks down to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Jackson shoots in and drives through. Ickky sprawls well.
Jackson shoots and misses

and Ickky counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.

Ickky fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.

Jackson gets caught napping as Ickky dives in and scores a takedown. Jackson manages to retain guard.

Jackson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jackson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Ickky wants to pass the guard but Jackson is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ickky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jackson is looking to clinch.
Jon Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ickky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jackson sprawls well. Jackson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ickky gets slowly back to his feet.
Ickky fails in his attempt to clinch.

Ickky gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ickky motions for Jackson to come forward. Ickky throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sticky Ickky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ickky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jackson.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jon Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head kick misses from Ickky.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson throws a hook but Ickky blocks it.

Sticky Ickky showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Ickky takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Ickky, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Ickky against the cage but Ickky circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jackson throws a series of punches but Ickky moves out of range.

Nice takedown defense from Jackson. No joy for Ickky on that attempt.

Ickky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away.

Jackson shoots in and bounces Ickky off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Ickky is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Ickky has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
