The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ries closes the distance and clinches up with Camozzi, looking for a takedown. Ries pushes Camozzi against the cage but Camozzi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Camozzi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Camozzi slips a jab from Ries.

Ries gets a double leg takedown into Camozzi's guard.
Ries trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ries wants to get up but he can't break Camozzi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Chase Ries just wasn't active enough.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ries.

Camozzi is trying to get back to his feet.
Ries slows the pace down.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ries's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chase Ries.
Camozzi on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Ries wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Camozzi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Camozzi wants to clinch up but Ries keeps it at a distance.
Chase Ries seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ries rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Camozzi makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Ries lands a really nice looking cross but Camozzi seems unphased.
Ries jabs Camozzi to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Ries wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Camozzi looks winded!
Ries lunges at Camozzi with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Camozzi's hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Camozzi takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
