Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dilan Rossi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and AJ McNight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rossi comes to the cage accompanied by Never Surrender by Lion. The crowd seem to be enjoying McNight's choice of entrance music: Given Up - Linkin Park. AJ McNight is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNight fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
McNight fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

McNight decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
McNight slips a nice elbow through Rossi's hands, connecting with Rossi's forehead.
Rossi is trying to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McNight in particular looking to stall.
Let's hope that McNight has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

McNight wants to work for an arm triangle but Rossi is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

McNight wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rossi keeps working.

McNight is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Rossi is looking for a sweep. McNight is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

AJ McNight opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
