Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jean Havoc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lonny Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Graduation - Gemini kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Havoc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lonny Waters!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Havoc throws a right and a left that Waters avoids nicely.
Waters throws out a loose jab but Havoc uses good head movement to avoid it.
Havoc uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Waters.
Waters throws an off balance right hand

and Havoc counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Waters makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Waters.
Waters bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Havoc's guard.
Havoc wants to control the position but Waters says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Waters not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Havoc is looking to escape.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Waters is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Waters lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Waters has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Havoc controlling the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Waters seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Waters slips a nice elbow through Havoc's hands, connecting with Havoc's forehead.
Waters winds up and cracks Havoc with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Waters thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Havoc is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Waters scores with a couple of nice shots.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Waters stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Havoc shoots and misses
and Waters counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

and Havoc counters with a left to the body.
No joy there for Havoc, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Havoc is trying to stall.
Waters looking to throw knees to the head but Havoc is blocking nicely.

It looks like Jean Havoc has been cut.

Havoc is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Waters to keep the fight standing.

Waters is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Havoc has denied him.

Waters tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Havoc manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Waters throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Waters throws a hook but Havoc avoids it easily.
Havoc throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Havoc lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Waters at a distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Waters.
Waters misses with a few strikes there.
Havoc closes this distance looking for a takedown but Waters circles away.

Waters tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Havoc paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Waters will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Waters throws a nice looking combination but Havoc bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lonny Waters seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Waters jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Havoc fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Waters to the ground. Havoc is now in Waters's guard.
Waters is breathing heavily.
Havoc wants to stand and escape but instead Waters has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Waters stands up over Havoc, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Havoc isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Waters stacks Havoc on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Waters!

Lonny Waters showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Havoc shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Waters sprawls well. Waters wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Havoc gets slowly back to his feet.

Lonny Waters comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Waters has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
