The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filho misses with a wild combination.
Filho looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pavle misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Filho misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pavle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Filho sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pavle somewhat.
Pavle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Filho swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yuri Pavle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pavle fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Filho misses with a double jab.
Filho throws a right hand that Pavle ducks under and follows up with a left that Pavle also avoids with ease.

Pavle tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Filho swivels and escapes.
Filho misses with a two punch combination.
Pavle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Pavle shoots for a double leg takedown but Filho sprawls well. He's pushed Pavle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Pavle counters with a takedown into side control.

Filho is not content to let Pavle control the position.

Pavle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pavle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Filho parries the strikes from Pavle easily there. Pavle is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Filho to escape.

Pavle working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

An elbow from Pavle crashes against the mat.

Pavle is working to tighten is grip on Filho's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Filho has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pavle is really squeezing tight and eventually Filho passes out! Pavle breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
