The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacArthur gets caught napping as Munakata dives in and scores a takedown. MacArthur manages to retain guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Munakata postures up and lands a big shot to MacArthur's brow.
Munakata has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

MacArthur decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Munakata, up you get!

Munakata gets caught flat footed, as MacArthur shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Munakata utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
MacArthur wants to control from the top but Munakata keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
MacArthur would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

MacArthur feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

MacArthur scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Munakata is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and MacArthur can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
