The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belfort drives through with a takedown into Kinnunen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kinnunen is trying to control the position but Belfort postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mikka Kinnunen was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Kinnunen has had enough of the clinch but Belfort keeps him there for the moment.

Belfort seems keen to control Kinnunen's posture.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Belfort takes a swing at Kinnunen's ribcage but misses.
Belfort dives in and grabs Kinnunen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kinnunen pushes down on Belfort's head and hops out.

Kinnunen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Kinnunen goes for a takedown attempt but Belfort pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kinnunen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Belfort swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Belfort jumps guard and drags Kinnunen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Belfort is looking to sinch up a triangle. Kinnunen throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Belfort's body to avoid the submission. Belfort has instead reached around Kinnunen's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Belfort arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
