The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Tyson loads up on a big right hand but Simanov slips the punch.
Simanov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Simanov instigates a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Simanov is trying to pull guard but Tyson has him pressed against the cage.

Simanov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tyson throws a jab but it's blocked by Simanov.
Tyson throws an off balance right hand

and Simanov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tyson won't be happy with that.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Simanov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Tyson is looking to reverse the position.

Simanov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tyson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Tyson tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Simanov is working to tighten is grip on Tyson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tyson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Simanov is really squeezing tight and eventually Tyson passes out! Simanov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
