Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maik Pears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Patterson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jay Z and Kanye West - Gotta Have It. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson shoots in looking for a takedown but Pears manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Patterson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Pears misses with a few strikes there.
Pears is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Patterson's half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pears is keen to just control but Patterson is a slippery customer.
Pears wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Patterson uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
