Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eli Porter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Porter comes to the ring accompanied by I Did It. Cooper has chosen star trek theme as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Porter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Cooper counters with a nice leg kick.
Cooper connects with a nice looking jab.

Porter moves into the clinch successfully.
Porter lands a hook to the side of the head.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Cooper.

It looks like Eli Porter has been cut.
Porter throws a knee to the head but misses.

Cooper lands a damaging elbow.
Cooper makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cooper gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Oh Porter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Eli Porter's cut is getting worse.
Cooper blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Cooper makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Cooper has Porter pressed up against the ropes in a tight Thai clinch. Porter is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Cooper - that's hurt Porter badly! Oh, another knee lands and Porter is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Porter doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Sheldon Cooper!
