Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chael Bravo!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravo throws a nice looking combination but Anderson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bravo misses with a series of wild punches.
A right-left combo lands from Bravo.
Bravo lunges at Anderson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Anderson's hand.
Bravo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Anderson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Bravo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bravo misses with a body kick.
Bravo misses with a few strikes there.
Bravo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bravo displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bravo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Anderson!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Anderson pushes Bravo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bravo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

and Bravo counters with a left and a right that stings Anderson.

Bravo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Anderson looking for a takedown.
Bravo gets through Anderson's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Anderson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bravo pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Anderson is breathing heavily.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Bravo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Bravo is looking to control Anderson's arms but Anderson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Bravo has his back to the ropes.
Anderson is working for a takedown up against the ropes. He can't get it on this occasion though.

It looks like Aaron Anderson has been cut.

Bravo is trying to trip Anderson. He has hold of a leg but Anderson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bravo persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Bravo stands up from Anderson's guard - Bravo perhaps looking for a knockout.
Bravo's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Bravo duly obliges.

Good leg kick by Bravo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bravo throws a half hearted mid kick.

and Anderson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Anderson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bravo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bravo lands an elbow inside that Anderson shrugs off.

Bravo has clasped his hands together around Anderson's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Anderson tries to improve position but can't.

Bravo decides to stand back up.

Bravo has managed to clinch.

Anderson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Bravo just stands there and leans against the ropes.
Bravo comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Bravo lands with a light punch inside.
Bravo lands with a left to the head.
Anderson has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bravo after a bit of a struggle.
Anderson has Bravo pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Bravo manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Bravo has Anderson pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bravo pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Anderson tumbling to the mat - Bravo dives into Anderson's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bravo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Anderson dodges the punch combination from Bravo.

Bravo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Anderson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bravo postures up.

Bravo stands up and waves to Anderson to follow him.

Bravo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Anderson tries to kick Bravo off but Bravo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bravo decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Bravo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bravo lands an overhand right.
Chael Bravo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bravo moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Bravo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bravo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Anderson slips a jab and a cross from Bravo.
Bravo lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Anderson goes down and covers up as Bravo starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chael Bravo!
Chael Bravo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
