Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Jaxzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Nudzian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nudzian has chosen DMX - X gon' Give it to ya as his entrance music. Sam Jaxzi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nudzian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jaxzi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A punch combination from Nudzian misses.
Nudzian swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nudzian, as that shot connected.
Jaxzi could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nudzian thows a body shot but no joy.
Nudzian throws a hook but Jaxzi avoids it easily.
Nice shot lands for Nudzian.

It looks like Sam Jaxzi has been cut.
Nudzian tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Jaxzi counters with a takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Jaxzi decides to stand back up. Jaxzi steps back and let's Nudzian get back to his feet.
Jaxzi circles away from the clinch attempt

and Jaxzi counters by moving into the clinch.
Jaxzi has Nudzian pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Nudzian manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Nudzian has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Nudzian is trying to break free.

Nudzian is looking to break free of the clinch but Jaxzi has double underhooks.

Jaxzi has clasped his hands together around Nudzian's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Jaxzi goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nudzian rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jaxzi's guard! Nice work there by Nudzian!

Jaxzi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nudzian can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jaxzi on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jaxzi tries to get out of the position.
Jaxzi wants to sweep but no luck.
Jaxzi has his hands on Nudzian's head, controlling the position.
Nudzian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jaxzi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jaxzi wriggles free and stands up.
Nudzian throws a body kick that misses.

Nudzian gets caught napping as Jaxzi dives in and scores a takedown. Nudzian manages to retain guard.
Jaxzi's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Nudzian wants to stand and escape but Jaxzi is having none of it.
Jaxzi wants to pass the guard but Nudzian is keeping the position.

Jaxzi passes Nudzian's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Nudzian looks winded!
Jaxzi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Jaxzi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jaxzi stands up out of the half guard.

Jaxzi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nudzian's guard.

Jaxzi stands and steps away. Nudzian gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jaxzi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Nudzian tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jaxzi is in Nudzian's guard.

Jaxzi gets to his feet - Nudzian follows without any prompting.
Jaxzi takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Nudzian misses with the combination.
Nudzian throws a series of punches but Jaxzi avoids them all with ease.

Jaxzi takes the fight into the clinch.
Nudzian wants to break the clinch but can't.

Nudzian looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Jaxzi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Sam Jaxzi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jaxzi is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Jaxzi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sam Jaxzi.

Jaxzi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Nudzian did well to prevent Jaxzi getting side control.

Jaxzi is working for a kimura here but Nudzian manages to reverse the position and he's now in Jaxzi's guard.

Nudzian has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jaxzi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nudzian is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jaxzi pulls down on the head and he's put Nudzian to sleep! This one is all over!
