Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chuan Panyarachun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrus Ansip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chuan Panyarachun has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chuan Panyarachun!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Andrus Ansip!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panyarachun lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ansip throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Panyarachun wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ansip misses with a kick to the body
and Panyarachun counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ansip is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Panyarachun tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ansip manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Sloppy strikes from Panyarachun. Those never looked like landing.
Ansip throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Panyarachun counters with a flying knee. Nice.

and Ansip counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Chuan Panyarachun has been cut.

Ansip drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Panyarachun is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ansip trying to control the position from guard on top but Panyarachun is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Andrus Ansip was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Ansip drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ansip wants to control but Panyarachun is keeping him busy.
Ansip tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Panyarachun is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Andrus Ansip hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Ansip bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ansip wants to lay and pray for a moment but Panyarachun keeps working.

Ansip tries to get to his feet but Panyarachun is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Ansip in his guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Panyarachun displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ansip.
Panyarachun takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ansip avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Panyarachun wants to get up but he can't break Ansip's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Panyarachun tries to stand but Ansip is controlling his head.

Panyarachun has Ansip's back but decides to stand back up... Obviously he fancies his chances in the standup department!

Ansip slips a jab and a cross from Panyarachun.
Ansip fails with the takedown.
Panyarachun moves in looking to clinch but Ansip pushes him off.

Ansip keeps the fight on the outside.

Ansip gets control of Panyarachun's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ansip will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Ansip has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Panyarachun can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chuan Panyarachun.

and Ansip counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Ansip prevents Panyarachun from getting back to his feet.
Panyarachun will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andrus Ansip wasn't active enough on the ground.
Ansip throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Panyarachun's waist but Panyarachun gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ansip off to one side.
Chuan Panyarachun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrus Ansip.

Ansip avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Panyarachun throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Panyarachun lands a head kick. Ansip smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Panyarachun tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ansip paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Ansip counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Panyarachun has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Panyarachun's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Panyarachun counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Andrus Ansip is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

I would just about give that final round to Andrus Ansip.
I've got Ansip winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
