Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Joegensen!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiram scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Joegensen looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joegensen missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Joegensen wants to work for an arm triangle but Kiram is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kiram is trying to maintain the position but Joegensen is very close to passing his half guard.
Joegensen keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Kiram is defending against the submission attempts here by Joegensen.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Joegensen hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A big left from Joegensen misses.
Joegensen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Joegensen is defended easily by Kiram .
Kiram throws a body punch but Joegensen moves out of range.
Kiram is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
No luck for Joegensen with that takedown attempt.
Kareem Kiram has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Joegensen.
Kiram 's jab looks to have found its range, popping Joegensen under the eye.
Kiram works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Horrible takedown by Joegensen or perhaps it was just good defense by Kiram which made him look bad.
Kiram throws a shot to the body.
Joegensen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kiram as he avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kiram . Joegensen does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Kiram counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Kiram connects with a jab.
Kiram ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
A shot to the liver by Kiram . Beautiful body shot.
Kiram cracks Joegensen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Joegensen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kiram darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kiram throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Joegensen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A shot to the liver by Kiram . Beautiful body shot.
Kiram cracks Joegensen with a right hand to the side of the head.
Joegensen ducks right into an uppercut from Kiram .
Joegensen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kiram scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Joegensen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kiram connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Joegensen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kiram throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kiram lands with a good body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kiram lands a nice looking body shot.
Kiram throws a shot to the body.
Jab from Kiram .
Kiram throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Joegensen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kareem Kiram dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Joegensen tries to move into range but Kiram moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Kiram is looking to wear down Joegensen with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Kiram dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Joegensen needs to keep his hands up - Kiram had a free shot at his head there.
Kiram circles away from the clinch attempt
enabling Kiram to counter with a crisp jab.
Joegensen uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kiram .
Kiram jabs Joegensen to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Joegensen shoots for a double leg takedown but Kiram sprawls well. He's pushed Joegensen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kiram slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Kiram . No joy for Joegensen on that attempt.
Joegensen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kiram as he jumps to the side.
Kareem Kiram has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Joegensen.
Joegensen is breathing heavily.
A jab from Kiram finds it's way through Joegensen's defenses.

Kiram stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kiram wants it to stay on the feet.
Kiram thuds a left hand into Joegensen's body.
Mark Joegensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kiram connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Joegensen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
The crowd cheers as Kiram lands an impressive looking overhand right. Joegensen doesn't seem phased though.

Joegensen is rocked!
Joegensen gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Kiram gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kareem Kiram !
Kareem Kiram seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
