The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kukkonen tries to clinch up.
Kukkonen misses with a body shot
and Jersey counters with a stiff right hand.
Jersey misses with a kick to the body.
Kukkonen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Jersey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kukkonen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jersey sprawls well. Jersey wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kukkonen gets slowly back to his feet.
Kukkonen misses with a looping left.
Jersey avoids the body shot from Kukkonen.
Jersey lands a nice looking body kick.
Kukkonen on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Kukkonen cracks a nice hook into Jersey's ribs.
Jersey moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A slow jab from Jersey misses its intended target.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jersey lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kukkonen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kukkonen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Jersey connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Kukkonen to the floor! Jersey dives in looking for the finish!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kukkonen is looking for a sweep. Jersey is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kukkonen is looking to control Jersey's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kukkonen avoid being mounted?
Kukkonen is controlling Jersey's trapped leg to prevent Jersey from advancing to side control.

Kukkonen is trying to maintain the position but Jersey is very close to passing his half guard.
Jersey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kukkonen's head.
Kukkonen wants to get back to his feet.
Kukkonen moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kukkonen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jersey has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kukkonen has managed to get both his arms back between Jersey's legs - danger averted.
