Jamieson has chosen Masters Of Mixed Martial Arts as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne fails with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Jamieson or perhaps it was just good defense by Payne which made him look bad.

Jamieson darts in and clinches Payne up against the cage.
Jamieson is trying to pull guard but Payne has him pressed against the cage.
Payne prevents Jamieson from breaking the clinch.

Billy Payne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jayden Jamieson.
Jamieson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Payne pulls his leg out and moves away.

Payne shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Payne is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jamieson has managed to free his arm - good work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Payne looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jamieson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
