Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Long finds it's target.
Long fails in his attempt to clinch.
Long fails with a takedown attempt.
Shogun slips a jab and a cross from Long.
Shogun stuffs the takedown attempt from Long. Long gets slowly back to his feet.
Long is looking to clinch but Shogun is avoiding it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Long darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Long rushes Shogun and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Long escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Long scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Long tries a head kick but it misses.

Long goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Long closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Long fails in his attempt to clinch.
Long throws a nice looking combination but Shogun bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Shogun uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Long.
Long looks to score with a jab to the body but Shogun is just out of range.
Shogun slips a jab and a cross from Long.
Long throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Long tries for a takedown but Shogun circles away easily

and Shogun counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Minotauro Shogun has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Byron Long.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Shogun won't allow Long to sweep him here.

Shogun wants to lay and pray for a moment but Long keeps working.

Shogun wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Long, who protects the arm well.

Shogun lands a few punches from side control.
Shogun lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Long down.

Shogun is trying to get an arm triangle but Long is defending well.
Long takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Long can't do much from the bottom here.

Shogun is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Long is trying to escape and Shogun transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Long is forced to tap! Nice work there by Shogun! Very nice indeed!
