Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kaito Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Iron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Iron is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slippin. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaito Suzuki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John The Iron!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suzuki lands with a right hand.
Suzuki lands a jab to The Iron's midsection.

The Iron closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Suzuki quickly recovers to half guard.

The Iron is looking for a kimura but Suzuki is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for The Iron to get the leverage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The Iron moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Suzuki has worked his arm free - good work by Suzuki!

The Iron throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Suzuki tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. The Iron is in Suzuki's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Suzuki swings for the body but The Iron moves out of range.
The Iron displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Suzuki throws out the jab.

Suzuki works to advance to full mount. The Iron defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The Iron tries to lock up and control but Suzuki gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The Iron is looking to improve his position but Suzuki isn't that keen on the idea.

Suzuki seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The Iron is trying to maintain the position but Suzuki is very close to passing his half guard.

The Iron is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Suzuki is aware though and is defending well.

Suzuki got a little sloppy there for a moment and The Iron has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Suzuki has managed to get both his arms back between The Iron's legs - danger averted.

A close second round but John The Iron will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


The Iron thows a body shot but no joy.
The Iron shoots in and drives through. Suzuki sprawls well.
Suzuki misses the shot to the body.
Suzuki is looking to wear down The Iron with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Suzuki ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Iron moves away.

Kaito Suzuki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Suzuki's jab looks to have found its range, popping The Iron under the eye.


It looks like John The Iron has been cut.

Suzuki comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Suzuki lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The Iron takes one to the chin there.
Suzuki lands a body shot.
The Iron takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
The Iron takes one on the chin but seems OK.
The Iron drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

The Iron is still on wobbly legs! Can Suzuki finish him?
Suzuki lands a right hook to the body.
Suzuki closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops The Iron! Suzuki dives in looking to finish! The Iron is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kaito Suzuki!
Kaito Suzuki decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
