Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between SaLE Bog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Da Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, SaLE Bog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Da Silva!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Bog counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Frank Da Silva has been cut.
Bog looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Da Silva is fending him off so far but Bog persists. Nope, Da Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
Da Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bog manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Da Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bog has Da Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Da Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Bog breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Da Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bog manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bog fails with a takedown attempt.

enabling Bog to counter with a crisp jab.

Da Silva gets caught napping as Bog dives in and scores a takedown. Da Silva manages to retain guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bog swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Bog counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bog wants to control from the top but Da Silva keeps moving.
Bog tries to stand but Da Silva is controlling from the bottom.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bog prevents Da Silva from breaking the clinch.

Bog has picked Da Silva up - he's going for a ride! Bog dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bog trying to control the action but Da Silva is working from the bottom.
Da Silva tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bog manages to move to mount!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref stands the fighters back up. SaLE Bog wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bog lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Da Silva circles away quickly and effectively.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bog keeps the fight on the outside.

SaLE Bog dominated that round.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

SaLE Bog has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Bog bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bog goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Da Silva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Bog but great work by Da Silva.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bog is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Da Silva is aware though and is defending well.

That was a close second round but I would say that SaLE Bog will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Da Silva takes the fight into the clinch.
Bog is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Da Silva to keep the fight standing.
Bog tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Da Silva avoids it.

Bog jumps into guard, dragging Da Silva to the mat.
Bog striking off his back but it's not causing Da Silva any problems.
Bog is trying to keep Da Silva in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bog is on top in guard.

Da Silva is working an open guard so Bog takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Bog drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bog won't allow Da Silva to get back to his feet.
Bog wants to pass the guard but Da Silva is keeping the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of SaLE Bog.

Da Silva slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Da Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bog has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Da Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Bog's legs - danger averted.

Da Silva gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Bog swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Frank Da Silva is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Bog has managed to clinch.

Da Silva fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Da Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Da Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

and Bog cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Bog swats away the attempt to clinch by Da Silva.
Da Silva wants to clinch.
Bog misses with a takedown attempt - Da Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Bog counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Da Silva!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Da Silva is trying to buck Bog off.
Frank Da Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
SaLE Bog is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Da Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Da Silva is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

And that's the end of the fight!
SaLE Bog showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bog, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
